Renovation works at Bukit Timah Mountain Biking Trail

We’ve been really excited about the renovation works currently being carried out at the Bukit Timah Mountain Biking Trail. Previously eroded and fallen into disarray, it’s now getting a facelift thanks to the partnership between NParks and Dirtraction.

The first couple of kilometres are a series of lovely rollers, switchbacks, climbs and decends. Even the challenging rockgarden at the trailhead has been made over.

Looking forward to more new sections!!

p.s. if you are some walker/ jogger illegally running on the trails.. Get out of the way when the bikes are coming! Here, bikers have the right of way. 🙂

  1. The trail is now too dangerous. It is phisically less challenging than before and much more dangerous with mini cliffs and a lot of stones. It is good to have done it more difficult but for each challenging part a second trail should be available with less danger. The nb of accidents will grow for sure which is not what we want … It seems that the technical advisor is more downhill oriented with almost no more challenging climb … Thumbs down for me…

    • Hi Jeje, I get what you mean- I just crashed last week, only 200-300m from the start point, at the first descent. The trail now is technical, which makes it tough for beginners (then again, it was tough already before). But on the plus side, i think they are aiming to make it more flowy and less of those stuff like mudpools, eroded sections or unclimbable areas. Gotta be really careful esp for now when it’s a brand new and unfamiliar. Hopefully with the rest of the trail, it’ll be less technical. Beginners can still go to T15 or zhenghua connector side.
