MUFE HD High Definition Powder has an exceptional texture that offers a high resolution flawless appearance, both on television and in photos. Available in one universal, translucent shade that suits all skin tones, it helps to set foundation without changing the natural contours of the face. Upon application, it turns into a transparent veil that softens the appearance of imperfections, and completely evens out the complexion for a glowing, radiant look. Thanks to its talc-free formula, it does not dry the skin and contains spherical micro-beads that reflect both natural and artificial light rays, thus creating a ‘Soft Focus’ effect that lights up the face.
Features exclusive to the new packaging:
The repackaged HD powder is now encased in an exclusive patented packaging with an integrated tailor-made sifter. This sifter ensures that the jar is spill-proof while allowing for convenient and flexible usage. This helps to prevent unnecessary wastage since the powder will not spill easily, and can be conveniently carried around for touch-ups. Product-wise, it is of comparable quality with the powder in the old packaging. It is useful to note that a little product goes a long way so this jar of powder will last you quite a while.
MUFE recommended method of application is using their HD Microfinish Puff (SGD$15), which is fine enough to ensure that not too much product gets onto the puff. Available in black, the color also helps you to determine the amount of powder that is on the puff. That said, the puff does not come with its own case, so you may consider getting a separate case for storage to avoid having it float around your makeup bag and getting contaminated.
You can then follow up with the MUFE Kabuki Brush (SGD$85) to brush off any excess powder on the face. The rounded Kabuki brush is made of soft and firm nylon bristles that were specially designed to be able to pick up the ultra-fine powder. Despite its rather hefty price tag, it is a high quality brush would make a good addition to any brush collection. Its compact size also makes it ideal to bring around for touch-ups and it comes with a nifty carrying case.
Comparison with old packaging:
- Old packaging contains more product: 10g versus 8.5g
- Old powder is made is France whilst the new powder is made in Japan
- No spillage in new packaging compared to the overflowing powder from the old packaging
All in all, the new packaging helps to make an already excellent product even better since it has made transportation and usage much easier and convenient.
